Kids love Halloween. It's a time to dress up and eat lots of sweets. Not so good for parents, especially when Halloween falls on a school day. You can still have fun with your kids without all the sugar. We've put together some fun and kooky Halloween recipes the whole family will enjoy.

    1. Monster Teeth

Fun and easy to make for all ages. Crisp apples, spread your favourite nut butter or alternative spread and use small marshmallow pieces for the teeth. Easy and delicious.

    2. Ghost Strawberries

These are a firm family favourite. Simply irresistible and super easy to make. Dip cold strawberries into melted white chocolate. Decorate with milk chocolate for the face.

    3. Oreo Dirt Cups

Not exactly the most healthiest treat but if you make your own chocolate pudding and gummy worms using jelly and straw molds, crumble over some chocolate oreo biscuits your kids will think you are the best thing since sliced bread.

    4. Monster fruit carving

This is a great idea to use as a centerpiece for the party table. Kids will love the fun side to eat. Include all their favourite fruit and you'll have an instant winner.

    5. Fingers Alive

Eating fingers! What's not to love? Kids love fresh crunchy baby carrots, make up their favourite dips like hummus, guacamole or tzatziki dip. Use a sliced almond or something that resembles a fingernail. Adults will love this too.

Most of the time kids love the preparation more than the main event. Make their costume together and let them do some spooky crafts. It's not only about eating sweets and sugary treats. Happy Halloween.
