Making homemade play-dough is a fun and easy activity that you can do with kids. Let kids get involved in making it and they'll have more fun playing with it. Here's a simple recipe:

    Ingredients:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 3/4 cup salt
    • 4 teaspoons cream of tartar
    • 2 cups water
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • Food coloring (optional)
    • Essential oils (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. In a medium-sized saucepan, mix together the flour, salt, and cream of tartar.

    2. Add in the water and vegetable oil, and stir everything together until there are no lumps.

    3. Place the saucepan over medium heat, and stir the mixture continuously for 2-3 minutes, until it forms a thick dough.

    4. Remove the saucepan from the heat, and let the dough cool for a few minutes.

    5. Once the dough has cooled, you can divide it into smaller portions and add food coloring and/or essential oils if desired.

    6. Knead the dough with your hands until it's smooth and pliable.

    7. Store the playdough in an airtight container or plastic bag when not in use.

Note: The playdough can be used for up to several months if kept in an airtight container. If it becomes dry, you can add a few drops of water and knead it until it becomes pliable again.
